There seems to be a symbiosis between ultra right wing or Alt Right Terrorists and Islamic Jihadists and that is the hatred narrative and the propensity to resort to acts of terrorism to deliver their message of hatred to the world. Whilst there is no difference of whether they commit these acts of violence in so called land of the Kafir, ie in Western societies or within Islamic Holy lands, the narrative message of violence knows no bounds. Even in the City in which I was born in, Christchurch, in which Muslims are a very rare, and learning that there was a Mosque in Christchurch was news for me, let alone there being two Mosques in Christchurch has really surprised me when I heard that the terrorism has finally arrived at my city of birth where such violence has never occurred before. Americans, Europeans, and Middle Eastern may be inured with such acts of terror, we in the South Pacific seldom experience such violence because the interactions between Muslims and Secular Societies iin our region are very rare. So now, we are finally all tarnished by the same brush and since this unprecedented event, We will probably see New Zealand police officers armed for the first time and more armed government officers and agents as never before. National Security in New Zealand as well as Australia will be elevated to an even higher alert level than ever before. Who to watch out for now? The duality of hatred, the Ultra Right and the Jihadist Extremists.
